Understand what has shaped you, heal what still hurts, and find a way forward that works for you.
Sometimes the first step is making sense of what you are experiencing. Anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship difficulties, and major life changes can affect how you think, feel, respond, and function. Therapy can help you recognize patterns, understand what may be contributing to them, and better understand yourself and your experiences.
Experiences don't have to be recent to keep affecting us. Trauma, loss, painful relationships, family dynamics, rejection, and years of feeling misunderstood or different can shape how we see ourselves long after those experiences have passed. Therapy offers a chance to work through what still affects you, rather than simply learning to live around it.
No single approach works for everyone. I use an individualized, collaborative approach to therapy, drawing on different therapeutic methods based on your experiences, needs, personality, and goals. Together, we can explore strategies and new ways of responding that fit who you are, rather than trying to fit you into someone else's idea of who you should be.
